And the verdict is....its a boy!!

Looks like we are destined to have boys in our family!  We had our 20 week ultrasound this morning and found out that Harrison is going to have a little brother.  We are so excited, it will be so fun to watch the 2 boys grow up together, and hopefully be best buds!  Here is one of the pictures of the little man!  I made sure not to drink as much orange juice as I did when we went to Harrison's ultrasound.  He was like possessed baby, arching his back and kicking all over the place.  This baby seemed to be much more relaxed, but was so cute waving his hands in the air and trying to suck his thumb!  I wish I could just sit and watch him all day.  Its amazing to see how much they are moving that you don't even feel. 

Mama Randolph's 60th birthday!

On Sunday we celebrated Lance's mom's 60th birthday.  So hard to believe our parents are 60!!!  It was a small celebration since we're all heading out to Colorado this week.  It was such a beautiful day so Lance and his dad "tried" to teach Harrison how to play baseball.  He didn't quite get the concept but had fun running around and playing with the ball and bat.

Harrison did not like the idea of putting the ball on the tee, he thought that it would be more fun to try to get the bat to go down the hole in the top of the tee.  Creative little guy, just like his dad!

After Harrison's nap, he was all ready to blow out Grandma's candles.  We did a practice run...

Harrison's 2nd birthday

So the snow made quite a dent in our fire station tour plans, but thankfully we were still able to have a few of Harrison's buddies over for a little party.  Thank you to those who were able to make it, and I apologize for those who were snowed & iced in their houses!  I still can't believe that of all weekends to have this weather, it had to fall on Harrison's birthday party weekend. 

The main reason I was so bummed about the weather at first, was because of all the hard work Lance put into making Harrison's birthday cake.  His first time to use fondant icing, and he looks like a professional!  Here is a picture of his masterpiece!

 

We have been practicing singing the happy birthday song and blowing out candles for the past 2 weeks, but so far Harrison has been getting frustrated at having to listen to the song.  He just wants to jump to the chase and blow out the candles.  Oddly enough, this was not the case at his party!  He had the biggest smile on his face when we were singing to him...

He was an expert at blowing out the candles...he got both candles on the first shot!

After he blew out the candles, Harrison was upset because he wanted to do it again. I thought he just wanted to blow out the candles, but I think he was enjoying the attention, because he wouldn't blow them out again until we all sang "Happy Birthday" again...too funny!

It looks like Trey & Grandmommy were the only attendants to his party, unfortunately I am not the best at remembering to take pictures throughout the events!  Next year I will remember to assign someone the task of photographing all of his buddies too!  Thanks again to everyone for helping us to make this such a special day for Harrison!!

Snow Day

What are the odds that the forecast for Harrison's birthday weekend would be snow, snow & more snow!?!  Thankfully my family all made it in town for Harrison's birthday just before the weather hit.  The boys had so much fun having a big snow ball fight.  Harrison was in shock with this being his first time to see snow!

Harrison's 2nd Birthday

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Harrison, happy birthday to you!  I can't believe my baby is already 2 years old today!  We had a nice day, despite the rainy, yucky weather.  We attempted to go to storytime, but unfortunately it was cancelled.  We made a special birthday dinner for Harrison with daddy's famous flank steak recipe, mashed potatoes, sauteed squash, bread, salad & boston cream pie.  What a feast!  Grandma & Granddaddy Randolph, & Aunt Penny were able to join us and we had so much fun.  Grandma brought Harrison's b-day present over, a Radio Flyer tricycle.  Harrison had fun riding it all over the house.  With the weather we've been having, it looks like this will have to be an indoor toy for a while!  Penny came over and brought such a sweet present...she gave us Hunter's favorite book from when he was little, The Wreck of the Zephyr, by Chris Van Allsburg.  Harrison loves reading, so what a great idea!  Here are a few pictures and videos from the evening.

Granddaddy brought over a boston cream pie and Harrison had fun licking all of the chocolate icing off of the entire cake!  On one of her recent visits, my mom brought my special birthday plate from when I was little.  I was excited to have Harrison eat his birthday dinner off of the birthday plate!

I have a cute video of Harrison blowing out his candles but I can't seem to get it to post...hopefully I will get that posted soon!

Valentine's Day Celebration & A visit from the Pooles!

Meredith, aka, Martha Stewart, put together a beautiful Valentine's Day party for all the kiddies.  They decorated valentines and we had a delicious brunch.  Amazingly, we were able to get a few pictures of the kids, although I have to owe their cooperation to all of the lollipops that we bribed them with!

We had a special surprise that night when "my best friend Teresa" came in town to buy a car.  We met up at Oriental Express for a fun Hibatchi dinner.  Madeline & Harrison had fun holding hands and walking around the restaurant.

Harrison's 2nd Christmas

I am definitely a little late in updating my posts, but I wanted to get caught up with my pictures.  We had a nice holiday despite Oakley eating an entire bag of Lindt dark chocolate truffles on Christmas Eve!  Thank goodness for Dr. Ruth Ann and her advise! 
Our gift to Harrison this year was a train table and I would say it was a hit!  Harrison has learned a lot about trains from his big cousins, Jack & Trey, so he was very excited to have a train set of his own.  We had it set up in the family room and let him discover it on his own when he came down stairs in the morning.  I think he was in shock at first, but it slowly started to hit him and he played with his table all morning, continuously pointing to his trains saying "choo choo!, choo choo!".

 

  

 

Once we were able to pull Harrison away from his choo choos for 5 minutes, we had Harrison open his stocking.  He didn't quite understand what to do, but as you can see, he was pretty excited about his cars & trains!

Harrison also got to open his presents from Jack & Trey...how did they know he was wanting more Thomas the Trains & train track??

 

While Grandmommy & Granddaddy Koeppe weren't able to be here this Christmas, they sent Harrison his x-mas gifts, and boy was he excited!  He got a suped-up Radio Flyer wagon and he climbed all around it for about 30 minutes!

We spent Christmas night having dinner and opening presents at grandma & granddaddy Randolph's house.  The whole crowd was there and we had such a nice evening.  Harrison came down with a fever that night, but he was able to hang in there despite not feeling so good!

 

The Seeses also joined us this year in our Christmas celebration!
